Intermediate Band

The Thunder Intermediate Band is the second step after completing beginning band and/or some form of prior musical experience in their last school year. This ensemble is made up of 6th-7th grade students who aim to develop better skills on their instrument. This class focuses on reinforcing fundamentals by taking a smaller class approach. The goal of the Intermediate band is to graduate students by the end to either the Advanced or Symphonic band. The Thunder Intermediate band will perform 3-4  times throughout the year. Students that successfully complete 5th grade band will SKIP beginning band and be placed in this ensemble. 8th graders are welcome to take this class as their second elective (taking two year long band classes as their elective choices) and pick up a new instrument.
